VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, AUGUST 2 2010

Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.

Clerk Johnson took roll call Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Kyle Richards Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Randy Warne Yes. Also present were Clerk Johnson, Ric Riniker and Joe Kitelinger.

Clerk Johnson verified the agenda was posted at the Village Post Office, Village Message Board and Village Office on 7/29/10.

Bart from Delta 3 said that he has received 2 pay request 1 from Municipal Well & Pump in the amount of $64832.75 and request 2 from Iowa-Grant Trucking in the amount of $ $37878.40. Both of these bills are for the Well 2. Bart also said that things are going good and that construction is well underway.

Rosie Gluege made a motion to approve the July 6, 10 minutes. Randy Warne seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

Ron Haas made a motion to approve the July Treasurer Reports. Deb France seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Kyle Richards Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Randy Warne Yes. Motion carried.

Tim Loeffelholz made a motion to approve the bills to be paid from Delta 3 for the Well 2 engineering in the amount of $3909.00. Also Municipal Well & Pump in the amount of $64832.75 and from Iowa-Grant Trucking in the amount of $ $37878.40. Both of these bills are for the Well 2. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

Ric Riniker

Ric discussed the fence issue between Sue Andrews and the Thormanns. Do to the surveyed map the Sue has the fence is on her property. A letter will be sent to the Thormann’s telling them that they will have 15 days to move the fence or a citation will be issued for every day that the fence is on her property. There has been talk about the smoking law and how several bars have inquired about building a deck. Also it is Ric’s advice that the Fire Department have a variance meeting for the new building that they want to build. Tim and Ric will get with Dawn as to when a date can be set for that.

Police Report

Steve has giving out 10 citations.

Clerks Report

Deb France made a motion to approve Dawn to go to the conference on Aug. 19th. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried. Also Dawn said that the banners for the light poles have been ordered.

Citizens Concerns

Complaints about the old laundry mat. Dawn is going to call Todd Infield and ask him some questions regarding this.

New Business

Deb France made a motion to not exceed $10000.00 towards the purchase of the new Fire Truck. Randy Warne seconded the motion. All I, Tim Loeffelholz abstained. Motion carried. Ron Haas made a motion to approve Dawn to take money out of the Livingston LGIP Savings Account. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

Maintenance Report

The water tower was painted wrong and the company who painted it will be coming back to redo the paint work, also the control panel was damaged by the company. Joe has to contact them about this and let them know. Scot Construction is going to do the seal coating from Jackson to Park St. A1 is going to put a 2 inch overlay of blacktop from Cty E to Florence St. The new restrooms and concession stand at Ball Park will be underway within a few weeks. Several local companies have donated their time and supplies to this project.

Ron Haas made a motion to adjourn at 8 pm. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.
