VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MONDAY, MARCH 1, 2010

 

Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM.  

 

Clerk Johnson took roll call Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Also present were Clerk Johnson, Joe Kitelinger and Ric Riniker.

 

Clerk Johnson verified the agenda was posted at the Village Post Office, Village Message Board and Village Office on 2/25/10.

 

Eric Johannesen made a motion to approve the February 1, 10 minutes. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

 

Ron Haas made a motion to approve the February Treasurer Reports. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes, Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried.

 

Tree Board

Kelley Tuttle is going to do a learning workshop on April 10 for anyone who would like to know or learn the proper way to plant and take care of trees. Eric Johannesen made a motion to approve the Tree Board paying the $500.00 fee for this workshop. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. All I. Ron Haas and Rosie Gluege abstained from the vote.

Police Report  

Steve expressed that there has been a lot of speeding on Cty E. Steve also told the board that by the year 2015 all street signs and all other signs need to be replaced to high reflective. Tom Brown made a motion to approve putting stop signs in on Grove and Thompson Street to slow traffic. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

 

Clerks Report

Dawn asked the board to purchase new election booths and ballet boxes. Deb France made a motion to purchase the booths and ballot boxes. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. All I. Dawn also asked the board about enrolling in the TRIP program. The board would like more information. Dawn will present the information at the next board meeting.

 

 

 

Library Report  

Story time starts in April. Bill and Malinda grant is getting close and then computers can be purchased.  

 

Free variance meeting will be April 19th at 7 PM if all parties agree to the date. Anyone wishing to come to the meeting must have all the proper paperwork filled out and giving to the clerk before the meeting or you will not be seen that night. Eric Johannesen made a motion to approve that the board give Mike Mueller $100.00 and a $50.00 gift card from Rebels for the brush pit. Rosie Gluege seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

Old Business  

Eric Johannesen made a motion to approve the Resolution Authorizing Acquisition of Real Estate from Chuck Jones. Ron Haas seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried.

Tim Loeffelholz made a motion to approve the order dedicating streets per Todd Infields approval. Eric Johannesen seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried.

 

New Business  

Bill Straka made a motion to approve Clerk Johnson to take money out of the LGIP. Tim Loeffelholz seconded the motion. All I. Motion Carried.

 

Maintenance Report  

Ron Haas made a motion to approve the contract from the Utility Service Company for the maintained to the old water tower per Todd Infields approval. Eric Johannesen seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried. Joe said that the noon siren should be fixed soon; the siren has to be reset not the timer. Tim Loeffelholz approved Joe to get a program thru USA Blue Book for his utility date for the amount of $560.00. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried. Joe and Clem did the yearly maintenance on the sweeper.  

 

Tim Loeffelholz made a motion to go into closed session at 8:22. Tom Brown seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

 

Tim Loeffelholz made a motion to come back into open session. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.  

 

Deb France made a motion to give Joe, Dawn and Betty a $.25 raise. Tom Brown seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried.

 

Eric Johannesen made a motion to give Steve Jones 20 $50.00 fuel cards (same as last year) Rosie Gluege seconded the motion. Tom Brown Yes, Ron Haas Yes, Rosie Gluege Yes, Bill Straka Yes, Deb France Yes, Tim Loeffelholz Yes and Eric Johannesen Yes. Motion carried.

 

Eric Johannesen made a motion to adjourn. Deb France seconded the motion. All I. Motion carried.

 

Next meeting will be on April 5.
