VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
July 10, 2018
HELD AT VILLAGE HALL-220 W. BARBER AVE, LIVINGSTON, WI 53554
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by Village president, Tom Brown.
Roll call taken; Tom Brown-present, Rosie Gluege-present, Jason Potter-present, Chris Roth-present & Linda Friesen-present. John Jelle-absent & Kimberly Loeffelholz-absent Also in attendance: Geri Kastner, Greg Marsh, Gary Stuckey and Clerk Christina Christianson.
Motion by Gluege to approve agenda. Roth seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Clerk verified posting of agenda at Livingston post office, Village message board and Village office on 7/5/18.
Motion by Gluege to approve June minutes. Potter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Public Input
Geri Kastner from Kastner pyrotechnics discussed issues she experienced with the tractor pull during the festival. She stated that in the future she would like the village to notify her of street closings.
Police Report
Clerk Christianson handed out Jeremy’s report as he was unable to attend meeting. The board would like to Jeremy to discuss bicycle safety with the village kids as there have been numerous reports of people riding bikes not obeying the traffic & stop signs. Clerk stated that the fence letters were re-issued as a reminder to mend/fix fences for Terry Slack and Bob Myers.
New Business
Clerk informed the board that the Village received information from Grant County requesting the Village to adopt their ordinance on ATV/UTVs. Christina has talked to Village attorney, Eileen Brownlee and there are some things to consider. The board asked to have Eileen at the next meeting as well as Jeremy Harty and Dan Reuter and put on august agenda for unfinished business.

Clerk Report-Christina Christianson
Christina asked the board to change the August board meeting to Monday August 13th instead of August 14th due to the election being Aug 14th. Christina relayed thank you from the staff and residents at orchard manor regarding use of Memorial Park and how nice it is with the sidewalk for elderly and handicap accessibility. They come and use it once a month in the summer for an outing.
Motion by Brown to approve Brandon Huehne for an operators permit. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. Christina informed the wage and personnel committee, that they need to set up a meeting and meet with employees for reviews so that all can be done by open enrollment time for health insurance and budget time.
Treasurers Report-Christina Christianson
Motion by Friesen to approve June Treasurer’s report. Roth seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
No bills to be approved.
Motion by Gluege to approve Clerk to transfer of funds within the Village accounts through the LGIP and Community First Bank. Potter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
President’s Report
None
Maintenance Report- Gary Stuckey
Gary gave a brief report. Gary stated that a tree at memorial park was vandalized with the bark being ripped off after a storm took off one of its branches. Employee, Clem Wiegman reported it to Gary. Gary reported it to Village police officer, Jeremy so he could follow up with the kid’s parents as Clem saw who at least one of the kids was. The tree will need to be removed and replaced as it will not survive without its bark.
Motion by Brown to replace both pumps at lift station #3 for approximate cost of $8120.00. Potter seconded. Roll call vote with all in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Gluege to adjourn at 7:35pm. Potter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed
