VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON

REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

May 8, 2018

HELD AT VILLAGE HALL-220 W. BARBER AVE, LIVINGSTON, WI 53554

Meeting called to order at 7pm by Village president, Tom Brown.

Roll call taken; Tom Brown-present, Rosie Gluege-present, Linda Friesen -present, Chris Roth-present, - Jason Potter Present & Kimberly Loeffelholz-present & John Jelle -present

Also in attendance – Jeremy Harty, Gary Stuckey and Christina Christianson.

Motion by Gluege to approve May agenda. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Clerk verified posting of agenda at Livingston post office, Village message board and Village office on 5/3/18.

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve April board minutes. Roth seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Police Report

Jeremy handed out his monthly report log and discussed ordinance issues that he has been working on. Letters have also been sent to residents that are not in compliance on licensing their dogs.

Unfinished Business

Loeffelholz updated the board on Livingston festival. Some new items are being added to the festivities this year. Next month she will have information regarding street closures, etc for Gary.

New Business

Motion by Gluege to approve the purchase of $15,350.00 including installation for a bigger generator at the Livingston-Clifton Fire Department with Pilling Electric doing the work (The Village and Town of Clifton will put in the concrete pad). This generator will be able to run everything needed in case of an emergency. The generator that is there now will be placed at the Village office/Library so that can be used for a backup center in case of an emergency and the Village will reimburse the Town of Clifton for the half that they have paid towards it. Roth seconded. Friesen, Loeffelholz and Jelle abstained. Roll call vote. All in favor. Motion passed. (This also needs to be approved by the Town of Clifton as they will pay for half).

 

 

Treasurers Report-Christina Christianson

 

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve April treasurer’s report. Potter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve bill for Iverson Construction for an estimate of $2772.00. Jelle seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve Clerk transferring of funds within the Village accounts and through the LGIP and Community First Bank. Roth seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Presidents Report

Brown tabled appointment of committee members and will be done at next month’s meeting.

Motion by Brown to approve payment of $10,000.00 to Delta Engineering for engineer fees to start the project for the gifted Jinkins land however, it is not to be paid until the deed with any conditions is in hand at the Village office. Friesen Seconded. Roll call vote with all in favor. Motion passed.

Maintenance Report- Gary Stuckey

Gary gave his maintenance report. Park restrooms are all open. Sludge has been hauled. Tree risk management seminar has been rescheduled for September in Gays Mills. Big garbage day went well. Need to discuss with Faherty’s a possibility of changing time and decreasing hours in spring and maybe change day as it always is on prom Saturday. Contract with Faherty’s is up this year so we can discuss options in October when contract is normally approved. Gary updated the board and informed the new board members on the well pump over by Woodward Avenue.

Clerks Report

Clerks report tabled until next month as we are waiting on Johnson Block audit TIF information.

Motion by Loeffelholz go into closed session at 7:48pm regarding employee personnel. Gluege seconded.. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Gluege to go back into open session at 8:05 pm. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Friesen to adjourn at 8:06pm. Jelle seconded.. All in favor. Motion passed.
