VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
January 10, 2017
HELD AT VILLAGE HALL-220 W. BARBER AVE, LIVINGSTON, WI 53554
Meeting called to order at 6:45pm by Village president, Tom Brown.
Roll call taken; Kimberly Loeffelholz-present, Tom Brown-present, Ron Haas- present, Ryan Walter-present, Greg Marsh-present and Earl McLean-arrived at 7:20pm. Rose Mary Gluege was absent. Also in attendance were Jerry Vesperman, Gary Stuckey and Clerk Christina Christianson.
Motion by Brown to approve agenda. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Clerk verified posting of agenda at Livingston post office, Village message board and Village office on 1/5/17.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve December minutes Brown seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Zoning – Ric Riniker

Unfinished Business
Motion by Marsh to approve Michael Reuter as the official Building inspector for the Village noting that 20% of fees collected by him for permits will be paid back to the Village. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
New Business
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve operator license for Derek Austin and Kari Panozzo pending background check approval from officer Vesperman. Walter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Brown to give Double M Cattle Company, LLC (Matt and/or Michael Mueller) $250.00 gift to for use of burning pit. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Treasurers Report-Christina Christianson
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve December Treasurer’s report. Marsh seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve bill for JI Construction for snowplowing in the amount of $2450.00 to be paid out of General account. Marsh seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve Clerk to transfer of funds within the Village accounts. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Police Report- Jerry Vesperman
Jerry handed out his monthly report, and noted that he has been doing alternate side parking tickets. Jerry gave the board the background check information for Kari Panozzo and Derek Austin and stated that they check out okay.
Library Report
Ron updated the board and discussion was had regarding the book drop. Loeffelholz stated that she saw that the Lego League is starting again on January 14, 2017.
Clerk Report-Christina Christianson
Christina updated the board on happenings during the last month
Presidents Report
Discussion of purchasing new banners for the light poles was discussed and stated that the old ones which are 7 years old will not be put back up. Haas stated that Shannon Straka has expressed his interest in helping design new banners and had some good ideas.
Maintenance Report- Gary Stuckey
Gary gave his report. He stated that he has been busy with snowplowing. Clems truck is all fixed and was under $2000.00. Gary noted that the water was shut off at the Justin and Jessica Warne home. This was one shut off that wasn’t working properly so we had to dig down to get to shut off underground with the help of JI Construction. There will be a meeting/seminar at the fire station on January 18, 2017 from 10am to 2pm with the WRWA in regards to discuss raising and adjusting rates for sewer and water. All board members are invited.
Motion by Haas to go into closed session at 7:20pm. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Brown to reconvene into open session at 8:05pm. Marsh seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Brown to raise Gary Stuckey to $24.00 per hour-choosing to not accept benefit 2017 with the right to be back in, in 2018. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Haas to raise Christina Christianson to $17.00 per hour and extra pay at an extra
$11.54 per hour for the 2017 benefit. Brown seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Haas to adjourn at 8:10pm. Marsh seconded. All in favor. Motion passed
