VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON

REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Tuesday-April 12, 2016

HELD AT VILLAGE HALL-220 W. BARBER AVE, LIVINGSTON, WI 53554

 

Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm by Village president, Tom Brown.

Roll call taken; Kimberly Loeffelholz-present, Rosemary Gluege-present, Tom Brown-present, Ron Haas- present, Ryan Walter-present and. Jeremie Klaas-present and Kyle Richards-absent. Also in attendance were Jerry Vesperman, Greg Marsh, Gary Stuckey and Clerk Christina Christianson. Clerk verified posting of agenda at Livingston post office, Village message board and Village office on April 7, 2016.

 

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve March minutes. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

 

Zoning Report

Open Book set for 8am to 10am on May 3, 2016 at the Village office and Board of Review set for 5pm to 7pm on May 10, 2016 at the Village Office.

 

New Business

Village trustees, Ron Haas and Ryan Walter were swore in to office. Kyle Richards will be done when he returns from vacation. April 5th election results are: Ron Haas-186 votes, Kyle Richards-167 votes, Ryan Walter-171 votes and 9 scattering.

Motion by Loeffelholz to approve Driveway permits for Phil Jinkins and Korey Kammes. Walter seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. Both were approved by Gary Stuckey and Ric Riniker. The Village will be looking at making a possible change to this ordinance pertaining to approval process and sizing of driveways that will be allowed.

 

Police Report

 

Jerry handed out his monthly report for Police log activity for the month. Jerry has been enforcing ordinance issues and has mailed out letters to property owners. He also verified and approved the liquor license to Rebels Bar and Grill, LLC for his portion of approval. Background checks were done on both Joel Washburn and Loren Speth who are the new owners. All parking tickets have been paid to date if not they have all been sent onto the state for suspended license.

 

Treasurers Report-Christina Christianson

 

Motion by Haas to approve March Treasurers report. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Brown to approve bills to be paid to Johnson and Block in the amount of $1463.00 out of the general account, $955.00 out of the water account and $490.00 out of the sewer account for a total paid to J&B of $2908.00. Bill for $2954.25 paid to Kruser Septic out of the sewer account and bill for $3041.25 paid to JI Construction for snow removal out of the general account. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Motion by Gluege to approve transfer of funds within the Village accounts for Clerk Christianson. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

 

 

 

 

Library Report

 

Ron Haas informed the board that the Library board has appointed Heidi Haas for Lois Carlton replacement. He also stated that things are started and in motion for the summer program and all information should be available on the website.

 

Clerks Report-Christina Christianson

 

Motion by Haas to approve liquor license for Rebels Bar & Grill, LLC. License # is L05-2015 Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. Temporary operator license was issued to Gia McIntosh. License # is T-OP-412016.

Clerk mailed dog letters to pet owners who have not licensed dogs yet. Clerk inquired who was in charge of Livingston Festival and obtaining license so she could get them the information on picnic license and operator license. Stephanie Anderson is taking that over this year.

 

Presidents Report-Tom Brown

 

Loeffelholz stated that the sign for concession stand has been ordered and should arrive soon.

The board discussed replacing the flags and lights at memorial park. Gary will check into this and get back to the board.

 

Maintenance Report- Gary Stuckey

 

Gary gave a brief report. Gary met with the tree committee and discussed trees being planted at the memorial park. The tree committee will be planting one or two trees on Friday for Arbor Day. Gary also stated that the sign for the Village Sports Park is in the designing phases.

Motion by Gluege to approve Gary to attend training overnight in Plover for a two day Basic Lab and Phosphorus information meeting. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

 

 

Motion made by Gluege to adjourn at 8:10pm. Klaas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
