VILLAGE OF LIVINGSTON
REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Monday February 8, 2016
HELD AT VILLAGE HALL-220 W. BARBER AVE, LIVINGSTON, WI 53554
Meeting called to order at 6:55pm by Village president, Tom Brown.
Roll call taken; Kimberly Loeffelholz-present, Rosemary Gluege-present, Tom Brown-present, Ron Haas- present and Ryan Walter-absent, Kyle Richards-absent and. Jeremie Klaas-absent. Also in attendance were Greg Marsh, Ric Riniker, Jerry Vesperman and Clerk Christina Christianson. Clerk verified posting of agenda at Livingston post office, Village message board and Village office on February 4, 2016.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve January minutes. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Assessor/Zoning Report-Ric Riniker
Ric gave a brief explanation regarding the favorable recommendation from the Planning commission regarding purchasing land from Gary Pope.
New Business
Motion by Haas to accept and approve the favorable recommendation from the plan commission that the Village of Livingston purchase land described Parcel #147-00306-0000 also on Recorded CSM #776273, Page 44 with the understanding that finding out if lot 2 should be identified with the other land Mr. Pope still owns. Riniker will discuss with Delta 3 regarding lot clarification and let Christina know. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Old Business
Tom Jinkins was not present. He did inform Christina that they are still thinking of switching but not certain at this point. He will keep the Village informed. Ric stated at this time that he has been out and about taking pictures of properties for assessing and online updating.
Treasurers Report-Christina Christianson
Motion by Gluege to approve January Treasurers report. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve bills to be paid to JI Construction in the amount of $2,750.00 out of the general account, Utility Services in the amount of $3,655.52 out of the water account and Loan for the Board of Commissions out of the sewer account in the amount of $28,386.22. Brown seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Loeffelholz to approve transfer of funds within the Village accounts for Clerk Christianson. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Library Report-Ron Haas
Lois Carlson has moved out of the area and the Library Board is looking for another member to replace her.
Clerks Report-Christina Christianson
Motion by Brown to approve Clerk Christianson to attend the Treasurer Convention in Appleton, April 19 through the 22nd. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Presidents Report-Tom Brown
Jerry handed out his monthly report for Police log activity for the month and discussed different grants through the state that the counties are working on currently and will be for the next few months. There are various different locations throughout the county.
Brown signed employee acknowledgements of the Employee handbook guidelines that all the employees have previously signed stating they received the handbooks. These will be put in their employee files.
Maintenance Report- Gary Stuckey
Gary gave a report which included discussion on the purchasing of the generator from Platteville in conjunction with the Town of Clifton. It is currently stored at the Village shop until spring when it will be installed.
Gary and Clem will attend the Digger Hotline safety meeting in Lancaster on February 16th, weather permitting.
Motion by Brown for Public Works Director Stuckey to attend Wisconsin Rural Water Association Convention in Green Bay, WI on March 30&31 and April1st. Loeffelholz seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Motion by Brown to sell JI Construction the line tracing unit for $1000.00 with the understanding that the Village can use it whenever it needs to at no cost to the village. Haas seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.
Also discussed water storage at the south of town. It is currently full of water.
There was also discussion about a concrete shelter of some kind north of J’s Bar in the side yard of Caleb and Brooke Shores. This needs to be dealt with and will be discussed at a future meeting in the spring/summer.
Motion made by Haas to adjourn at 7:30pm. Gluege seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

Tuesday –March 8, 2016 at 7:00pm.
